Music Studies is a flexible degree program for those wishing to pursue careers in music including but not limited to performance. 

Core courses provide a solid gounding in music theory, while generous electives allow coursework in engineering, marketing, theatre, business, computer sciences, and other related disciplines to prepare for professional success in fileds such as studio engineering or music business.

Admission to the program requires department consent. While no formal audition is required, prospective sutdents must complete a pre-admission screening and be accepted by the Department before being admitted into the Music Studies program.  The screening includes: a) an introductory skills assessment, including singing of major scales and a short written theory examination, b) an interview with one or more Music Studies faculty and c) a demonstration of your performance skills.

(Note: Auditions are required if/when the student wishes to transfer into another Music degree program.)
