1 Meets university computer literacy requirements.
2 Students may substitute the jazz theory sequence of MUS 2109, 2110, 2605, and 2606. Permission of jazz area required.

4 May include up to 4 semesters applied lessons, by audition only. MUS 2705/2706 require permission from the jazz area.
5 The 9 hours in foreign language must be in the same language. Alternatively, students may opt to take 12 hours in 2 foreign languages (6 hours in each of 2 languages). If the 12 hours in 2 foreign languages are chosen, reduce electives by 3 hours, and be sure that there is at least 1 2000-level humanities.
6 At least 3 hours must be outside History, and 6 hours must be 3000 or above.
7 To be chosen from Fine Arts or Drama and Communications.
